Every company has a beginning, and ours started in a place you might not expect – on a job site with no experience, a lot of determination, and a young family to support.

Back in 2003, Travis Fiveash was working as a lineman for a local power company. He was building his first home at the time. To save money, he and his stepbrother decided to insulate it themselves. While insulating that house, Travis discovered something he didn’t expect, that he really enjoyed the work. There was something satisfying about fitting batt insulation into place and knowing it was making a home more comfortable and efficient. That spark turned into an idea: maybe he could make a little extra money insulating houses on the side.

With the encouragement of friends who were contractors, Travis started picking up small jobs in the evenings. He didn’t have much to work with in the beginning- just a co-worker willing to lend a hand, a first shipment bought on credit, and a lot of late nights. But word spread quickly. Customers noticed the quality, and one job led to another. Before long, Travis made the bold decision to leave his lineman job behind and devote himself to insulation full time.

It wasn’t an easy road, but hard work, honesty, and a focus on doing the job right carried the company forward. Over the years, Quality Insulation has grown from a one-man operation to a thriving team of more than 35 employees. Along the way, our company has expanded into new service areas. We added a Tallahassee branch in 2022 to better serve customers across South Georgia and North Florida.

Through all our growth, the spirit of our company has stayed the same. Travis and the leadership team know what it’s like to be out in the field doing the work. That perspective has shaped the way our business is run. Employees are treated like family, customers know they can depend on us, and every project is approached with the same care and attention to detail that started it all.
